Where actions come from
A finding - the usual case: the work to put it right.
A unit - work on a unit with no finding behind it, such as a new control or general housekeeping. It can be about one of the unit's controls, or about the unit in general.
Kinds
Kind | For |
|---|---|
Interim | A stop-gap to reduce the risk until the real fix is in. |
Corrective | Fixing the problem. |
Preventive | Stopping it happening again. |
Statuses
Open → In progress → Done. Or Cancelled, with a reason. Where your standards ask for it, Done goes to Awaiting verification first, then Verified.
Done and Cancelled are final. Actions aren't on a board; they're a list you work in place.
What an action carries
A reference (for example ACT-0007), a title and description, its kind, owner, due date, where it came from (finding or unit, and control), a completion note, an evidence reference, photos and files, notes and history.
Roll-up
A finding shows how its actions are going ("2 of 3 done", "1 overdue"). Its fix-by date stays the overall deadline.
