On the Activity Board, what you can do to a unit depends on two things:
Your tenancy role - for example, whether you may add notes or manage controls at all. See Roles and permissions.
Your workflow role at the unit's current stage - the workflow can narrow what each role does at each stage. See Workflow roles.
You need both. The workflow can only narrow what your tenancy role allows; it never adds to it.
What the workflow can control at each stage
At this stage, your workflow role can… | Needs this tenancy permission too |
|---|---|
Add notes | Add assessment notes |
Add, edit, remove and bring back controls | Manage controls |
Confirm controls | Confirm controls |
Override the risk score | Override risk scores |
What you'll see
Buttons you can't use at this stage are disabled, not hidden, so you can see they exist. The unit screen says why, for example "At this stage of the workflow your role can't confirm controls.", and its header shows Editable, Partly editable or Read only at this stage.
Off the board (in the Back-Log or Forward-Log) only your tenancy role applies.
