Raise a finding by hand

Findings don't only come from tests. Raise one by hand for anything that needs putting right.

Steps

1. Open Findings → Back-Log and choose Raise a finding.

2. Choose the source: Internal audit, External audit, Regulator, Incident / near miss, Business process run, or Other.

3. Choose the unit it's about, and the control if there is one.

4. Give it a title and describe what's wrong.

5. Set its severity.

6. Click Raise finding. It starts un-owned in the Back-Log.

Good to know

• Every finding must be about a unit, so it feeds into that unit's next assessment.

• An issue that affects several units is one finding per unit. Conform shows them to each other as possibly related.

• You need permission to raise findings by hand. Findings from tests come with the tester's workflow role.
