Assessments, tests and findings all move through the same kinds of screen. Once you've used one, you know them all.
Screen | What's on it |
|---|---|
Back-Log | Work waiting to start: units due this cycle, tests coming due, new findings nobody owns yet. |
Activity Board | Work in progress, as cards in columns. Each column is a stage (a state) of that feature's workflow. |
Forward-Log | Recurring work that's finished for this cycle and waiting to come round again (assessments). |
History | One-off work that's finished for good (tests, findings and actions). |

Working with a board
Click a card to see its summary in the right-hand panel. The selected card is ringed.
Drag a card to another column to move it on. You can only drop it where your workflow role allows; columns you can't drop into are marked when you start dragging.
The blue arrow button on a card or row opens the item's own page.
Mine only narrows the board to work assigned to you.
Cards turn amber, then red, when they've been in one stage for too long. The thresholds are in the tenancy settings.
Moves always ask
Any move can ask for a rationale (a reason), and a move to the end of the workflow always does. You may also be asked who should pick the work up next. See Move a card on the board for a worked example.
Finishing
Recurring work (assessments) stays on the board for a few days after it's completed, then moves to the Forward-Log. It comes back to the Back-Log when it's next due.
One-off work (tests and findings) lands in the end column, turns into a "Moved to History" card and slides away. It never comes back: the next test or finding is a new one.
Finishing is always something you do. Conform never moves work through its workflow for you, even when you sign a test off.
History pages
History pages show the most recently finished first and load more as you scroll. The search box searches all of history, not just what's loaded.
