Risks need regular attention. Each unit is assessed once per cycle (its reporting period), and comes back round when its next cycle is due.
How often
Each unit has a cadence: how many months between assessments. Conform offers 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 12, 24, 36 or 60 months, and the default is 3 months: often enough to keep risk front of mind, without being a burden.
Where several rules apply to one unit (for example, two regulators want different cadences), the shortest wins, because it covers the others.
When cycles fall
Cycles roll forward from your tenancy's inception date: due dates are the inception date plus whole cycles. So finishing early or late never drifts your schedule.
You choose the inception date in the tenancy settings under Assessment · Cycle. Conform suggests dates with a reason for each (for example a regulator's fixed annual date, your financial year start, or the date you started Conform) and picks the one that covers most of your units. You can choose a different date if none fits.
Coming back to the Back-Log
A unit reappears in the Back-Log a little before it's due: 14 days by default (the lead time, in the tenancy settings). That gives you time to start it before the due date.
Overdue
A unit not finished by its due date is marked overdue with a red due badge. Overdue is a flag to help you prioritise. It doesn't stop anything.

Snapshots
At each of your quarter ends, Conform takes a snapshot of your whole risk picture, so you can see trends over time. See Snapshots and trends.
